What really goes on in my mind and life?

Epiphany - Light & Darkness

Today, as I was on the road, I simply had to stop whatever I was doing to watch this beautiful sight of Mother Nature. The storm was approaching and I was still at the end of where the day was clear and bright. It isn't every day one gets to see the clear division between llight and darkness in the sky.

When I say "I love you"...

Whenever I utter the words "I love you" to anyone, I see them not as a 'body' but as myself. To "LOVE" is to rise beyond impermanence. There is only one LOVE pulsating throughout the Universe, only taking its shape in different forms.

Taking it to the skies

I was in uniform and ready to go. I was always jetting around to different parts of the globe. People always asked me how I ended up there (back then) or how I ended up here (doing whatever I'm doing now).

Did Merdeka (Independence Day) really liberate us Malaysians?

"MERDEKA!". You can hear the voice of the people echo throughout Dataran Merdeka as the flag of a free, independent nation was hoisted on August 31st, 1957. Trumpets bellowed throughout that night. The high spirits of the new citizens of Malaysia was uncontainable. Everyone was beaming from ear to ear to finally be free from foreign governance. That is the whole idea of achieving independence. To be free.

Who makes a good teacher?

During a conversation today with a disciple of mine from the United States, I was asked a very important question: "Master, who makes a good teacher?"

My reply was plain and simple. "A good teacher is one whom his/her students can share their dreams with," I said.

To Dream Indefinitely

It has again been a long time since I've updated my blog. One of the admins had asked if I could write anything just to update the readers because people have been sending e-mails enquiring about the dormant site. So, here it is. I hope the post will now un-dormant the site.

Please do not hit and run

Just finished digging another hole to bury yet another dead animal. My garden, though huge, is probably running out of space to bury the dead animals as a result of other people's mistakes.

PLEASE! If you happen to hit any animal on the road, do have the heart to check to see if it is still alive. If it is, bring it to the nearest vet because it might have a chance for survival. If it dies, then please have the courtesy to take the effort to bury it. In less than one month, we have buried TWO hit-and-run cases.

Yoga, Weight Loss and 'Professional' Yoga Attire?

It is an absolute MYTH when people say that Yoga is NOT a good fitness regime that can help one lose weight. A new student who joined this course, who tried her best to adhere to what was taught, weighed herself on Tuesday and discovered that she had lost 7kgs in merely 2 weeks.

Myth VS Science, The Danger of Ego in the Healing Art

What was once a myth yesterday may become Science today, and what is Science today can also become a myth tomorrow. This was what I posted quite some time ago and someone asked me to prove it. There are so many examples that one can highlight to prove my words.

Aeons of Union and Separation

Where there is birth, there is bound to be death. Where there is union, there will be separation. This is how the Law of duality, governed by Maya, operates. Where there is no birth, there is no death. Where there is no union, there is no separation. There is only One.

Life is Simple

Why all the hoo-hahs about petty matters? How long will life in this physical body last? This body will perish one day, and so do all your material possessions. Life is simple. Just live it the best you can and make each step as meaningful as possible.

Another step forward in the march towards unity

I received a story from a disciple that touched my heart deeply few days ago. Two people who enquired one staff member about the Yoga courses had apparently asked if the Sandhya Maarga meditation sessions conducted at the Sandhya Maarga centres are religiously-inclined: "Does the meditation practised here have something to do with religion?"

Is Yoga Religious or Culturally-Inclined?

While having lunch, I overheard the next table discussing about Yoga. This, no doubt, captivated my attention. One Chinese lady asked if Yoga is related to religion. The other Indian lady replied no. According to her, although it originates from India, Yoga is more of a cultural practice. I did not agree with this answer of course. If Yoga is a cultural practice in India, why do we not see majority of the Indian households practicing Yoga?

What Women's Day?

Thank you to all who wished me Happy Women's Day. I am touched by your kind messages but I would also like to say something. Dear women of the world, every day is YOUR day! There is no need for a specific date on the calendar to state that it is women's day for you to celebrate your existence! Every woman in this world is special and unique in her own ways.

Persevere until the end

When you've set your mind to do something, make sure you do it until the end. There's a Chinese saying, "要做,做到底!" If I started anything, I always made sure I finished it. Otherwise, you will never get anything done. If you never get anything done, how are you to realise your goals? Your goal is nothing but a series of deliberate effort. Have a lovely Tuesday. What my pups can do!

Licks, licks and more licks. These are exactly what my puppies do. They are up to new tricks every single day. Whenever I sit at the entrance of the house, all of them will pounce on me at once to lick me. Kiara would lick my ears, and the rest would lick my hair, face, hands and feet.

Are the rivers different from the ocean?

The ocean is the Universal Energy Field, while the rivers are akin to the individualised ego-existence. Despite the fact that there are many rivers that flow towards the ocean to 'merge' with it, they were never separate in the first place. Similarly, the 'i' that you think exist is actually verily the "I" itself.

Life is a Song

Looking forward to a singing session with Malaysia's leading baritone tomorrow. Life is truly an amazing journey. Just like the musical notes, we have ups and downs, crescendos and decrescendos, fortes and diminuendos. There are also times when we have the repeat bar, to do something over and over again until the entire song of life is complete.

Love moves us all

Life is nothing but a result of love itself. Where there is no love, there isn't life. It is this "L" word that keeps the world moving. Why then, people ask, do we have murder, robbery etc. in this world? While love is the operating power that moves us all, it can be masked by many forms. Everyone places his/her love on different things and sometimes, in his search to experience 'love', Man has placed his attention on things that society deems 'wrong' today.

Just because one drives an old car does not make him/her poor. Similarly, just because one drives a flashy new car does not make him/her rich as well. It may simply mean that the first is wiser in money management than the second as he/she realises that it makes no sense putting money into something, which value is just going to depreciate over time.
